Problem
Build a working alarm system from scratch, covering both the physical device and the software used to control it.
My role
This was a team project. We designed the electronic circuit and developed the web app that controls the alarm.
What we built
The project has two halves that had to work together:
- Electronics: the design of the electronic circuit, with a custom PCB and a Raspberry Pi
- Software: a TypeScript web app to control the alarm
A project where the code had to talk to real hardware, not just a database.
